Daniela’s passion for leatherwork began as a hobby to create her own custom horse tack and apparel. She quickly began receiving requests from friends and family to create custom products for them as well. Daniela wears many hats, she is a professional reining horse trainer, runs a full time boarding facility and equine rehabilitation center. With the help of Tyler and Alyssa Thurman, she can continue her passion to bring people joy through her craft while still keeping her ranch in tip top shape.

Tyler grew up on a farm in Kentucky, where he rode horses with his family. In his preteen years he was bitten with the rodeo bug and fell in love with the roughstock events. Focusing predominantly on bareback bronc, he won a state title, and qualified twice for the National High School Finals Rodeo. Along with this passion, he was given a unique gift to see any project from concept to completion in various forms. He is a craftsman in many aspects including art, woodworking, and most recently leatherwork. Tyler uses this talent to create wallets, knife sheaths, purses, and various other leather goods with no template or instructions. He is the go to problem solver in the shop.

Alyssa has loved horses and the western lifestyle since the age of 10. This passion led her to Rein Maker Ranch in 2021. There she met Daniela Picciotti, and a lifelong friendship formed. This friendship brought her to Oklahoma, where she met her husband Tyler, and began her leathercraft journey. She excells in transferring her artistic skills from canvas to hide. This talent makes her the main painter and figure carver for the business. Alyssa also acts as Barn Manager for Rein Maker Ranch, and also runs her own business, Thurman Equine.
